About the Artist

Ella Stenga

is a born and raised Alaskan pursuing her career as an independent artist in Anchorage, Alaska. Following her bachelors degree from Boise State University, the pursuit of ceramics was an unforeseen accident. Originating as a filler elective within her last semester of university, ceramics fueled her creative drive unlike any other expressive medium. The months before graduation were primarily spent in the art building instead of the library.

Ella's work is predominately influenced by entomology and patterns found in nature. Stemming from the kid capturing small organisms during Alaskan summers, her love for the smaller creatures is reflected in the work she creates today. From sea stars to arachnids, her surface designs are constantly morphing with her environmental inspirations.

All the pieces available are hand-thrown, carved, and made by Ella. Each piece is unique and often not repeated<3
